I haven’t posted since the end of the 30 in 30 challenge, but have been busy. This week the concentration is finishing up a rather large watercolor of an anhinga for the BWS show this weekend. Last March, while birding at the Viera wetlands with my sister and her husband, we came across this gorgeous and very regal bird, drying his wings while the wind blew his head feathers up into a sort of crown. The painting has been in my head for a year and finally coming to fruition. Here is the work in progress. I hope to finish it up between today and tomorrow.
